Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) represent quantifiable measurements, agreed to beforehand, that reflect the critical success factors of your organisation. KPIs focus on the businessí or individualís success drivers. KPIs enable a business to define and measure progress towards its goals.

KPIs differ with each organisation. They should reflect the goals of your organisation, must be key to its success and they must be quantifiable.

We can help you decide which numbers are key to your business and that you should monitor. Selecting KPIs is interesting as they arenít just limited to financial targets. For example number of orders or enquiries per day, or percentage of orders despatched within 48 hours could be key to your success. Having selected the KPIs, we can review the management systems with you to ensure they can report the numbers required and plan how the numbers can be driven up or down. There should only be a few KPIs. Five is usually enough, with a maximum of eight. Finally identify someone responsible for each KPI.

If you donít want to commit time to a business plan, how about spending a few hours developing your KPI plan with our help. We can guarantee that you will enjoy the experience and feel that you are making progress towards your goals.
